TimeM8 is a private, single-user Chrome extension for time tracking, project planning, reporting, and local business administration. This Privacy Policy explains what information TimeM8 processes, why it processes it, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
Privacy at a glance
- TimeM8 stores its data locally in your current Chrome profile.
- TimeM8 does not operate a backend, user account system, or cloud-sync service.
- TimeM8 does not transmit your TimeM8 records to the developer or third parties.
- TimeM8 does not sell, rent, share, or use your data for advertising.
- TimeM8 does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or remote code.
- Automatic website activity tracking is optional, off by default, and requires a separate Chrome permission and your explicit action to enable it.
- You can clear website activity, delete individual business records, reset all TimeM8 data, or uninstall the extension.
Information TimeM8 processes
Information you enter
TimeM8 processes information you choose to enter or import, including:
- time entries, descriptions, dates, durations, billable status, tags, and timer state;
- clients and client contacts, which may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and notes;
- projects, tasks, task types, estimates, budgets, milestones, retainers, planned capacity, allocations, time off, and non-work days;
- billing rates, internal costs, currencies, taxes, expenses, invoices, invoice line items, payment status, and related financial records;
- goals, targets, preferences, dismissed notices, activity history, and other extension settings; and
- data contained in a TimeM8 backup that you choose to import.
