ScreenshotM8 is a local-first Chrome extension for capturing and annotating screenshots.

This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenshotM8 handles information when you use the extension.

ScreenshotM8 is designed so that screenshot capture, image processing, annotation, redaction, clipboard copying, and file creation occur locally on your device.

ScreenshotM8 does not operate an account service, analytics service, advertising system, cloud synchronization service, or remote screenshot-processing service.

2. Information ScreenshotM8 processes

ScreenshotM8 processes limited information when you explicitly initiate a screenshot capture.

This may include:

• The visual contents of the active browser tab
• The title and URL of the captured page
• Page and viewport dimensions
• The page’s current scroll position
• Temporary screenshot image data
• Annotations you add to a screenshot
• The positions and dimensions of password, email, and telephone fields
• Your selected capture-delay preference
• Temporary capture workflow and error state

The extension uses field positions to offer optional local redaction suggestions. It does not read, retain, or transmit the values entered into password, email, or telephone fields.
