Applies to: MoneyM8 for Google Chrome (the “Extension”)

1. Privacy promise

MoneyM8 is a private, local-first budgeting and wealth-tracking extension. It is designed so you can organise sensitive financial information without creating an account or sending that information to the developer.

In the current version:

• MoneyM8 records are stored locally in the Chrome profile where the Extension is installed;
• there is no developer-controlled server, cloud account, or bank connection;
• MoneyM8 does not transmit your budgets, transactions, income, expenses, assets, liabilities, goals, tax tags, reminders, notes, receipts, or PIN to the developer;
• there is no advertising, analytics, telemetry, tracking pixel, session recording, or behavioural profiling;
• information is not sold, rented, traded, licensed, or otherwise monetised;
• MoneyM8 does not inspect or collect browsing history; and
• MoneyM8 requests no permission to read or change the websites you visit.

This Policy explains what the Extension handles, how it works, your choices, and the practical limits of local storage.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to people who install or use MoneyM8 in Google Chrome or a compatible Chromium browser, whether from the Chrome Web Store or as an unpacked extension. “We”, “us”, and “the developer” refer to MoneyM8’s publisher. “You” means the person using MoneyM8.

Google and browser providers separately handle store, installation, update, security, review, and platform information under their own terms. This Policy describes MoneyM8’s own handling.

3. Information MoneyM8 handles

MoneyM8 handles information only when you enter, import, attach, or configure it. The information may be personal and highly sensitive even though it remains on your device.
