InsuranceM8 is a Chrome extension that helps insurance professionals capture information from an active web form, organise client and policy-submission records, attach supporting documents, and explicitly fill recognised fields on insurance carrier and rater websites.

This policy explains what information InsuranceM8 handles, why it is handled, where it is stored, and the controls available to users. In this policy, “InsuranceM8,” “the extension,” “we,” and “our” refer to the InsuranceM8 extension and its developer. “User” means the person or organisation using the extension.

1. Important local-storage summary

InsuranceM8 is designed as a local-first product:

• InsuranceM8 does not operate a developer-controlled backend for extension data.
• InsuranceM8 does not transmit client, submission, document, form, or browsing data to the developer.
• InsuranceM8 does not create an InsuranceM8 account or synchronize records between devices.
• InsuranceM8 does not use analytics, advertising trackers, telemetry, or third-party software development kits.
• InsuranceM8 does not sell personal information or use it for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
• InsuranceM8 never automatically submits a carrier or rater form. Capturing and filling require explicit user actions.

Local storage is not the same as independent encryption. Data is stored within the user’s Chrome profile using browser-provided storage. Anyone who can access that Chrome profile, device, exported files, or operating-system account may be able to access the information.

2. Information InsuranceM8 handles

Depending on what the user captures, enters, imports, or attaches, InsuranceM8 may handle the following categories of information.

2.1 Client and contact information

• Names, business names, contact roles, and relationships;
• postal and garaging addresses;
• email addresses and telephone numbers;
• dates of birth, occupation, employment, and business operations; and
• household members, additional insureds, producers, and agency contacts.
