InsuranceM8 is a Chrome extension that helps insurance professionals capture information from an active web form, organise client and policy-submission records, attach supporting documents, and explicitly fill recognised fields on insurance carrier and rater websites.

This policy explains what information InsuranceM8 handles, why it is handled, where it is stored, and the controls available to users. In this policy, “InsuranceM8,” “the extension,” “we,” and “our” refer to the InsuranceM8 extension and its developer. “User” means the person or organisation using the extension.

1. Important local-storage summary

InsuranceM8 is designed as a local-first product:

Local storage is not the same as independent encryption. Data is stored within the user’s Chrome profile using browser-provided storage. Anyone who can access that Chrome profile, device, exported files, or operating-system account may be able to access the information.
