This Privacy Policy explains how ImageM8 (the “Extension”) handles information when you use it. ImageM8 is a Chrome extension that helps you find, preview, select, and download images from the webpage you are currently viewing.

In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Apparate Pty Ltd, the developer and publisher of ImageM8.

1. Summary

ImageM8 is designed to work locally in your browser.

• ImageM8 does not require an account.
• ImageM8 does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioural profiling.
• ImageM8 does not sell or rent personal information.
• ImageM8 does not send the contents of webpages you scan to the developer.
• ImageM8 does not operate a developer-controlled backend or cloud database.
• ImageM8 accesses a webpage only after you deliberately open the Extension on that page.
• ImageM8 uses the information it reads only to provide its image-finding and downloading features.

2. Information ImageM8 processes

When you open ImageM8 on a webpage, the Extension may temporarily process the following information from that active page:

• the active tab’s URL, so ImageM8 can confirm that the page is a supported webpage;
• image URLs found in standard image elements;
• responsive image source URLs, including sources provided through srcset;
• image URLs used as CSS background images;
• image filenames or filenames derived from image URLs;
