This Privacy Policy explains how AdM8 (the “Extension”) handles information when you install and use it. AdM8 is designed to block advertising and tracking requests while keeping its settings and activity data on your device.

1. Summary

AdM8 does not collect, sell, rent, transmit or share your personal information with its developer or with advertising companies, analytics providers or data brokers.

AdM8 does not operate a developer-controlled server for the Extension, does not require an AdM8 account and does not include advertising, telemetry or analytics. The Extension’s settings and activity records are stored locally by Chrome on your device.

If you choose to add a third-party filter-list subscription, AdM8 connects directly to the HTTPS address you provide to download that list. The operator of that address may receive ordinary network information associated with the request, as explained below.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the AdM8 Chrome extension. It does not govern Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, GitHub, websites you visit, filter-list providers or other third-party products and services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Information AdM8 handles

AdM8 handles the following information locally to provide its features:

The recent activity list is limited to the 200 most recent entries. AdM8 does not use this list to record full page addresses, browsing history, search queries, page contents or the URLs of blocked network requests.
